# Fjord Launcher setup guide This is a setup guide which details how to play Minecraft without paying on any scuxie.net Minecraft server, using Fjord Launcher. This guide has been lazily written, because I accidentally deleted the entire file and am rushing to catch back up. As a result of this, this guide only targets Windows computers. While all instructions should be similar, note that no explicit instructions are provided for anything else. This guide is poorly written, and sucks ass. All criticism will be ignored, since it's going to be rewritten anyway. If something here was written so poorly that you couldn't understand it or got lost, ask on Discord. You'll need: 1. An invite link (contact me on Discord: @scuxified) 2. The correct version of Fjord for your usecase. ## 1. Fjord Launcher installation If you're here, you're most likely looking for the [Windows version of Fjord Launcher Unlocked](https://github.com/hero-persson/FjordLauncherUnlocked/releases/download/11.0.3.0/FjordLauncher-Windows-MSVC-Setup-11.0.3.0.exe) This version allows custom accounts to be used without a Minecraft account being used first. You should be able to download it and set it up easily. Run the .exe file, and follow through the setup. The default options are typically fine. Once you've opened Fjord Launcher, select your preferred Language and Appearance settings. Then, you may pick if you want to request the CurseForge API key or not. Usually it is recommended to, but read the warnings that come attached. After you finish with those initial choices, you should be in the main menu. ## 2. Registering your account and adding it to Fjord Launcher Open the invite link you recieved in your browser. Pick a preferred name and password. Make sure not to forget it. While this is a small service and virtually any name you desire will be free, make sure it stays respectful. Once you register the account, you will be brought to the account's page. Note that one account can have an unlimited amount of Minecraft accounts, but limited to 1 by default. You may freely request more Minecraft accounts if you can provide a good reason for it. Near the top of the page, you should see a section called "Your Players", with 1 player in it, with the same name as your account. This is the base Minecraft account automatically created for you. you may click on it to change the name, skin and cape for your Minecraft account. Note that using a cape is nearly pointless, as they will only appear in singleplayer at the moment. Once your account is fully setup, you may add it to Fjord. You can do this by clicking the "Accounts" dropdown in the top right, and then clicking "Manage Accounts..." In this menu, look to the right, and click "Add authlib-injector" In the first section, provide the name of your player, which will be the same as your account name, unless you changed it. In the second section, provide the password you just registered with. In the third section, provide this string: `https://drasl.scuxie.net/authlib-injector` Then, click OK, go through the warning, and if everything is correct, you can close the Accounts popup, and in the main window you should see your account in the top right corner. You are now ready to play. This guide will not supply usage instructions for how to play, and you should teach yourself. Search the internet for help, or ask on Discord.
